Who knew a simple friend request could lead to such a beautiful journey?
It all began during the lockdown when the world seemed to hit the pause button, and we hit the friend request button. Little did we know that clicking ‘accept’ would open the door to endless chats, laughter, and bonding over hunting and fishing. Our conversations flowed effortlessly, as if we’d been friends for ages, even though we were miles apart.
Finally, the day came when we could meet in person. With cautious optimism, we decided to go for a walk, keeping a safe distance. But as soon as I laid eyes on him, I knew. Call it intuition or fate, but I just knew he was the one. And then, in a moment straight out of a romance novel, he handed me a rose before we parted ways.
As the months passed and the pandemic loomed over us like a dark cloud, we found ourselves facing uncertainty about the future. But amidst the chaos, we made a decision - to live life in reverse. And so, nine months later, our daughter entered the world, bringing with her the promise of a future filled with love and laughter.
But wait, there’s more! A spontaneous trip to Banff, Alberta, three months pregnant. As we soaked in the beauty of the mountains, little did I suspect what was about to unfold. The signs were there - the collared shirt, the romantic setting with roses and candles. And then, there it was, a ring nestled among rose petals, with a heart-shaped glow. Of course, I said yes without hesitation!
Fast forward to the big day - golden hour bathing everything in a warm, ethereal glow. Our wedding was a dream come true, with intimate vows exchanged by the lake and a ceremony overlooking the majestic river valley. Simple yet elegant decor, with touches of lace, wheat, and rustic charm, creating a scene straight out of a fairy tale.
And so, dear readers, our love story proves that even in the midst of uncertainty, love finds a way to bloom like a rose in springtime. Xoxo Teresa & Guy
