Meet in the Middle - Finding common ground in your design tastes can be as simple as discovering a shared love and building from there. Merge different time periods and styles with harmonious colors and finishes.

Patience Pays Off - Before making major decisions, live together in your space for a while. It often leads to a natural meeting of minds or a joint vision for your home.

Out with the Old - It might be time to bid farewell to items from your bachelor/ette days. Make it a fun adventure by shopping together for fresh, meaningful pieces.

Simplicity Rules - Declutter and keep only what truly sparks joy. A streamlined space is a happier space.

Expert Advice - Struggling to blend your styles? Consider consulting an interior designer for expert guidance in creating a unified and balanced design.

Our Journey

Confession time – compromise isn’t my strong suit, especially since I’m a designer (and obviously always right, right?). When we tackled our unfinished basement, I embraced my husband’s ideas, and we ended up going with his layout proposal. Shocking, I know! Since then, I’ve stopped instantly vetoing his ideas and started really listening. Turns out, two brains are better than one, and our functional, beautiful space is proof. Oh, and about the TVs – men and their multiple screens, right? Well, when we finished our basement bar with its stunning jade granite countertop, splash, and copper fixtures, I put my foot down. No plain black TVs here! If he wanted a SECOND TV in our basement, it had to be a Samsung Frame TV because it’s not just a TV; it’s art, just like our bar.
